What Is Kundalini Yoga?
Kundalini yoga is a form of yoga that focuses on awakening the enormous spiritual energy present within the body at the base of our spine, known as Kundalini energy. It includes a repetitive series of asana (yoga postures) along with breathwork, chanting, meditation, and specific sequences called kriyas. In Kundalini meditation, we use a variety of methods, such as deep breathing, mudras, mantras, and physical motions, to try to activate this energy and reach enlightenment. These exercises awaken latent energy in your body and move it through your chakras (energy centers) in an upward direction until it reaches the seventh (crown) chakra, which is located in your head, where it will be released. This encourages inner harmony, spiritual awakening, and enlightenment.
